Something I Want to Say
Hello and Welcome, and i know its a bit late but Happy new year. i know its been a very long while since i update this blog, but i feel like after what i said recently, i thought i need to make this post. now, a couple of days ago, in my most recent podcast -which you can see here- i said that i am no longer will be a fan of the AKB48 group. and yes, i do not making that up, i really am no longer a fan of the 48 group, but not for the reason that you might think. yes, a part of it is because of the clusterfuck that the 48 group is in right now, but that is not the only reason to why i no longer a fan, and i'm going to elaborate what i say on that episode here.
i've been a fan of the 48 group for a while now, if we count my JKT days, i'm already a fan since 2013, and being an AKB fan since 2014, most of it dedicated to HKT48.
But in 2016 something change, the group is not as enjoyable to watch as it used to. AKBingo is not as fun to watch as it used to, their singles started to be boring, and the quality of their Music Video is getting worse. so i started to change, i started to watch the Sakamichi group, especially Nogizaka46, and its basically just love at first sight. i started to like the group more, i find an Oshimen, watch all of the variety and just generally enjoy their music and music video. but i would still come back to the 48 group once and a while. and 2017 is pretty much the same, mainly on the Sakamichi series but go back to 48 once and a while.
but then came 2018, this was a big year for me, i started to get more experience and knowledge in film making thanks to my study at university, i met some incredible people from the Sakamichi Squad Bandung, and its also the start of the Sakamichi Squad Bandung TV (our Youtube Channel). but 2018 is also the start of where the AKB48 Group started to get really really shit. honestly, i don't even know where to start. AKBingo, i pretty much didn't watch a single episode of it for the whole of 2018, its no longer fun to watch, the MC are annoying, and its basically just the same thing over and over again. and then there's the production. the production of the AKB48 group (AKB48 in particular) is so bad that its disgust me. its like they don't even care about their product anymore, its like "it doesn't matter if the song is shit, as long as we sell 1 million handshake ticket", which probably is their mindset. now i know that most of the Sakamichi group sales are also because of handshake, but at least they would still release good songs and good music videos. but AKB? Jabaja and No Way Man was mediocre at best, Sentimental Train was a trainwreck, and Teacher Teacher? that is the single worst Music Video that i have witness in my life, ever. and i have seen a lot of bad MV's. the production quality of it is just horrible, i mean it doesn't have any concept, it has no context, its very messy, the editing was horrible, and don't get me started on the green screen. its like they don't even have a plan for the MV, the director just came in to the studio and say "uuuhh ok,......Oguri-san, you go there......matsui-san you go there.....Miyawaki-san you're over there, and just dance ok......right....camera rolling....... action....". its like that, absolutely no coordination, and it shown in the final product, none of the shot was any good, it made zero sense, its horrible and disgusting.
and then there's Sentimental Train, i mean should i even elaborate here? they release something that's not even finished yet with the excuse of "the center of the song is sick", BULLSHIT. Keyakizaka manages to make an MV with similar circumstances with Eccentric, and it looks amazing. they adapt, they have a problem, and find a good solution. and what did AKB do? they just put a bunch of unfinished sketches on the scene that has Matsui Jurina in it, how's about that for a solution. i mean, Jurina went on Hiatus 3 whole months before the single was supposed to be release, by that time they should be able to make an MV that doesn't have Jurina in it. i mean, they could just make an MV that has the Senbatsu members looking for Jurina (hey how's that for an idea) or something along those line, it may not be as good as the original plan, and it means more work, but that's what you have to do, at least put out something that is decent enough to be shown to the public.
And should i even go to Produce48? i mean it could be a whole rant on its own, and i'm not going to make it here.
all this shit that the 48group is making in 2018 pretty much shown that they don't even care about the quality of their product anymore, which mean they don't care about their fans. for the whole of 2018 i pretty much only watching Sakamichi related stuff, they have better music, better Music video (this is very important to me) and better variety, and the members are more interesting. but if somebody ask me "are you an AKB48 fan?" i would still answer, yes. i still would answer yes, i still update stuff on HKT48, and i still would talk about the 48 group related news in Sambil Kita Ngeteh (our podcast).
but then, were not even 2 weeks into 2019, we got this news, and this is pretty much the final nail in an already nail filled coffin. i'm not going to talk about the news here, all am going to say is that i'm very disappointed.
and yeah, that's it, i am no longer a fan of AKB48, i've had enough, they disappoint for too much and too long, so why should i keep supporting them? the only way that i might be able to go back to the 48 group is that if Kodama Haruka made a comeback and became better than ever, then i MIGHT consider going back to HKT48, and JUST HKT48.
now i'm just your average Sakamichi Series fan.
let me introduce myself, my name is Dava Mahardika, also known as Delta, i'm the creative director of the Sakamichi Squad Bandung youtube Channel, Sakamichi Saquad Bandung TV (SSBTV for short), my favorite group is Nogizaka46, my oshimen is Hori Miona, but i also like Umezawa Minami, Hoshino Minami, Sasaki Kotoko, Kubo Shiori and several other members. my Keyakizaka46 oshi is Kobayashi Yui for Kanji and Kato Shiho for Hiragana.

ReplyDeleteTerima kasih telah berbagai cerita gan. Banyak kemiripan cerita dengan saya, tentang kenapa ngedrop 48 pindah ke 46. Bagaimanapun juga Sakamichi memang lebih cool dan elegan, haha!
ReplyDeleteYou are truly traitor of 48G i ever see and that's not cool thing to do as pure wota..shame on you men, honestly you make me sick to read your post. It's disgusting and pathetic.Pure wota never ever leave their favorite group or oshimen no matter what. Now AKB48 go through hard time and you leave just like that?tsk..how do you call yourself as human? If your parent not meet your expectation will you leave them too?
ReplyDeleteumm, first of all, thank you for reading my blog 2 years after i left it dead, at least someone is still looking at it, which i always appreciate.
Deletesecondly, what group i support is none of your concern, i support what i want to support, i watch what i want to watch, and i spend my money the way i want to spend it. at the end of the day, i'm a consumer after all, and if i'm not satisfied with the product i'm getting, then why should i keep getting it? (and i don't know if you knwo this, but Kodama Haruka is no longer in HKT48, so i don't think i still have to support HKT48)
also, you were saying something about not being a 'pure wota', whatever that means. let me tell you a little secret here buddy, i'm not a wota, i never said i was a wota, i never claimed to be a wota, nor that i want to be one. i'm just you're average normie fan with added skill of being a journalist and a film maker. and i use that skill and this platform to inform and i hope educate a little about what happen behind the scene of the making of a video production.
but anyway, thank you again for reading my blog
