what i'm currently into
hello, this time i'm going to talk a little about what i'm currently into in both the 48,46 group and outside of it. i'm mostly going to talk about what i'm currently listening and watching.
So as i once mention before, i am an HKT48 fan, but for some reason their recent singles (and the 48Group singles in general) have not been very good. i mean they're not bad, but just doesn't give a lot of impact, and at the same time, the sakamichi group is just pulling out great song after great song in the past year or so. so because of that, i'm currently more into the sakamichi group than the 48 group. which one? Keyakizaka46, ever since their 3rd single Futari Saison came out, i am hooked on them. they seems like to just get the best songs at the moment and made it seems unfair to the other group. so much so that even Sashihara Rino said that it is unfair that Keyakizaka get all of the good stuff. their first single Silent Majority is pretty much an instant classic, the coupling song is also great. personally my favorite is Yuichanzu's Shibuyagawa. i like the folk song feel to it, i also like that it is sung by pretty much the best musician in Keyakizaka at the moment. and out of all of the songs that Keyakizaka has at he moment i have to say that my personal favorite is the song Bob Dylan wa Kaesanai, again sung by the Yuichanzu. it is just a great song and i recommend it. other than that i also quiet like Nogizaka46 most recent single Influencer, i like the flamenco feel to it, it give a very nice vibe. i also like the costume their wearing when they performed, it looks very nice. for the coupling song i like the song Igai Break and Another Ghost, pretty much just like what everyone else that i know like, and i don't blame them, those are some nice songs. personally i like Igai Break more, i like the old school 90's sound to it, and it is also a very nice song to listen when driving so i recommend that for your new car tune. oh and also Maiyan looks very good in the MV. by the way if your asking my Nogi oshi is Shiraishi Mai and my Keyaki oshi is Shida Manaka.
outside of the idol world i listen to a lot off metal song, i also listen to a lot of hip-hop. i like to listen to early Linkin Park's record, like Hybrid Theory and Meteora, i don't really like their new record though, i think its a little to Pop for my taste. i also listen to a lot of Disturbed's record, Avenged Sevenfold, Slipknot, pretty much the mainstream in the metal world. also Babymetal, i listen to them quiet a lot as well.
what i watch? well actually right now i'm also watching mostly Sakamichi group related show. the usual like Keyakitte, Kakenai and Nogizaka Koujichuu. i can watch it thanks to all of the subber out there. thank you for making it easier for us international fan to understand what the girls are saying. anyway, the reason why i watch more 46 group show is because again thanks to all the subbers for making the subs, and also because currently their show is much more better than what the 48 group has to offer. i mean, looking at AKBingo right now, ever since Women Rush Hour taking over the show there's not really a lot of good segment in the show, there are a few, but it is few and far between. also my favorite show, HKT48 no Odekake (Which is ending sadly) the recent episode is again not very good, they're pretty much doing what they already did in the previous episode. and don't make me start on the NGT show. its not just because of the lack of subbed episode, but probably the biggest problem in the 48 group shows is that there are not enough high profile members in them. let me explain, in the 46 group shows (Keyakakke, Nogichuu, ect) you can see that everyone is there, or at least everyone from the senbatsu is there, doesn't matter if she's the center or in the edge of the third row, everyone is on the same level when it comes to their own TV shows. it doesn't matter if you are a super model like Maiyan or Nanase, or a stage performer like Ikuchan, when you are sitting in that chair in front of Bananaman, you are Nogizaka46, and the same applies to Keyakizaka46. and that's why i like them so much as a group, the sense of unity in them is very big. the opposite applies for 48 group shows, just look at AKBingo, unless its a very very special episode, the members that are present were mostly the mid tier members (no offense to them), so it kinda give a sense that it is just another show to give the lets say the less popular girl something to do, and the same thing applies to other 48 group show. i know the point of these shows is to give the unpopular girl more exposure, but if you don't have anyone to draw the people to watch, then it won't give the girl any help.
anyway that is all about what i like at the moment, i also recommend to check those shows i mention, there's a lot of subbed content out there for people who don't understand japanese.
