Vision of the Future AKB48 Sousenkyo Version

Hello and welcome to another post, this time i want to talk about a subject that i want to make for a while. so, not too long ago i made a post about what the Nogizaka46 senbatsu would look like sometime in the future (you can check it out if you haven't) and now i'm going to make something similar but with the AKB48 group senbatsu. for this i'm going to make 2 part, first part where i talk about the Sousenkyo Senbatsu line up. the second part is with the normal, management pick senbatsu line up. for the time, i'm going to take the same as what i did with Nogizaka, and that is on 2020. i should point out that this list is purely subjective, so a lot of you might disagree with it, and that's fine because everyone has their opinion. so, without further ado, here's my prediction for the top 16 of the 2020 AKB48 Senbatsu Sousenkyo.

16. Nakai Rika (NGT48)

We open things up with the princess of NGT herself, Nakai Rika. the first center of NGT and she's been gaining a lot of attention since. i think she's great and would have a great future in the 48 group, she has a great personality and a pretty face. she manages to rank in pretty high up on this year (2017) sousenkyo at #23. she will have a solo song on the NGT48 2nd single, which can only means that her push is not over yet.

15. Yabuki Nako (HKT48/AKB48)
Honestly, these lower rank is a lot harder to predict, there are a lot of young members that is on a roll this past year, so its hard to predict who will have the edge from the other. Nako is one of the member that could have that edge. yes, her rank might drop quite a bit this year, and worse still she got beaten by someone that is very interesting (for me), more on her later. but, i think you guys is missing the bigger picture. first of all, she's still very young, a lot younger that most member on this list. so she still can learn and grow a lot. and second, she's seems to be really close to someone name Sashihara Rino, which i think can really help her with her rank.

14. Tanaka Miku (HKT48)
The HKT Syndrome is real, the girl that is labeled as the #2 of their generation will rank higher than the ace of that generation. it happen with Sakura, it Happen with Mio-chan, and i think it will happen with Mikurin as well. the trend has already started, Mikurin ranked higher than Nako this year, and i think it will continue as it is. same with Nako, she's still very young and got a lot to learn, but i think she would still just manages to made it into senbatsu by 2020, or at least i hope so.

13. Komiyama Haruka (AKB48)
the first AKB member on the list, and not a bad one to start. Komiharu is one of the rising star in AKB right now. ever since her documentary came out, she has been notice more and more. yes, her form may have been rather inconsistent for the past year or so, but i think she still got a lot to offer, and if she could find some consistency, i have no doubt that she could be a very big thing.

12. Kojima Mako (AKB48)
A hard one this, i don't know if i should put her higher up or not pick her at all. Mako, in her early days is viewed as one of the next generation center that will carry the group. but now her position is not that great. she got beaten by her genmate and she got that 'scandal' that make her rank drop this year. but, i think she can pull through. she's still part of the regular senbatsu, so at least management still trust her. she does have that consistency problem just like Komiharu (and also a lot of AKB member actually), but i think it could only get better from here.

11. Homma Hinata (NGT48)
This girl is in the top 16 this year is not an accident, and i think she will stay there for a while. at first i don't even know who this girl is, and then BAM, #13 on the senkyo. so i tried to look into her more, and i have to say, i started to like this girl more. i think in the future Hinatan is going to be a very important member to NGT and the 48 group in general.

10. Mukaichi Mion (AKB48)
Mion, i think out of all of the current ace candidate from AKB, she's probably the top pick right now. but, she's also the most inconsistent. i expect her to rank a lot higher from last year, but to everyone shock, she drop and fell into undergirl. not great, but since the AKB48 management works in a very weird way, i think they won't stop her push that easy, i think its only a matter of time before she got back into the top 16, and maybe even the top 5. she'll get there, eventually.

9. Kodama Haruka (HKT48/AKB48)

this is more of a personal pick, i love this girl and she deserve and need a lot more love than she get right now. she got a very good rank last year, got up to #9 in 2016. but then something happened, she's gone for several months and then her momentum just falls of the cliff. but now she's back and i hope she can get that momentum back. it won't be easy, and it can take a lot of time. i won't be surprise if she rank very low next year. she's still a part of the AKB48 and HKT48 senbatsu, so at least we know that she's still relevant in the group.

8. Ota Yuuri (NMB48)
i think the girl that benefits the most out of the graduation of Yagura fuuko, Yabushita Shu, and also Riripon is Yuuri. because before not a lot of people know who she is, but now she's basically the de facto #2 of NMB. the Milky to Shiroma Miru's Sayanee. some people might say that Yoshida Akari is going to be NMB's #2 since she manages to rank #16 this year. but i don't know, i just don't feel that Akarin's rank will last for very long. i think NMB won't invest a lot in her, at least on the senbatsu side of thing, since she is on the older side, and probably on her way out of the group. its great if she did last long, but i won't be surprise if she don't. but Yuuri on the other hand, is still young and still fresh. she got a lot of push recently, getting a frontline position for NMB new single. so i think she will be relevant for a while.

7. Takahashi Juri (AKB48)
now we're starting to get to the interesting part, the Kami7. and we open things up with Takahashi Juri. i think by 2020 we won't see her as Takahashi Juri captain of Team4, but we will see her as Takahashi Juri the Soukantoku of AKB48 group. yes you heard me right, the General Manager of AKB48 group. why? because i think Yuihan would probably give that position to her by 2019 and then graduate on 2020. and Juri as the 3rd generation Soukantoku should get a massive boost from the fans and push her into Kami7.

6. Okada Nana (AKB48/STU48)
On #6 i decided to put Naachan. now, i don't even know where to start with her. she ranked 14th on 2016 and 9th on 2017. she probably has the best documentary that an AKB member will ever get, and now she basically got her own group. she's an incredible person, a hard worker and possibly the nicest member in AKB.  beautiful as you can get. i don't know what else to say, she is just a very very important figure in the current AKB48 line up.

5. Furuhata Nao (SKE48)
Don't worry, i won't forget about SKE. Furuhata Nao is always been one of my favorite is SKE. she's very pretty and also very very talented. she manages to rank in the top 16 this year, reaching as high as #14, and i think she will not stop there. she has a very big potential and its a huge blow if she decide to graduate soon.

4. Shiroma Miru (NMB48/AKB48)
NMB really needs her to rank high, they need at least one member to be fighting for the top spot. and we know that its going to be Miru, because she's the one who got the golden microphone from Sayanee. she got a lot of pressure on her at the moment, being trusted the position of ace of NMB48, and i think being able to fight for the top spot on the Sousenkyo is going to be a priority for her, for NMB and also the NMB fans.

3. Miyawaki Sakura (HKT48/AKB48)
Surprised? you should. we all know that Miyawaki Sakura is going to be the ace of AKB from here on, and she will also be fighting with Matsui Jurina for the top spot of the Sousenkyo, we know that because Sasshi said so. but, i don't think by 2020 there will only be 2 candidate for the #1 spot. if we look at the data from past Sousenkyo, we can see that her vote count doesn't really grow that much, and the difference between her and Jurina's vote is quite large, so not looking good for her. now i could be totally wrong, she can just get a huge boost and take the top spot just like that. but i think, 3rd is the best i can give her, and i give the reason why in just a moment.

2. Matsui Jurina (SKE48)
Not what you're expecting to see right? of course its not, from everything we know Jurina should be #1 without a doubt. she's the current ace for AKB along with Sakura, she's the best that SKE can offer. so why is she not in #1? well, let me tell you what i think will happen in the next 3 years.
2018, Matsui Jurina wins the Sousenkyo easily with a huge margin from Miyawaki Sakura in second.
2019, Miyawaki Sakura just manages to beat Jurina by a slight lead.

and in 2020......

1. OGINO YUKA (NGT48)
This girl manages to give us the biggest surprise of the 2017 Sousenkyo (well 2nd biggest, but you get what i mean). she manages to get over 50 thousands vote just on the preliminaries. that's enough to put her inside the top 10. on the actual event, she manages to get into 5th, top 5. this girl that only been around for like a couple of year manages to get into the Kami7 without even breaking a sweat. and now with her being the center of NGT i think she could only go higher. i think she's the member to look out for in the next couple of years. she could well be give the biggest upset for both Jurina and Sakura next year if they don't keep their guards up.

and that's it. that's what i think the 2020 senbatsu sousenkyo would look like, to recap its
1. Ogino Yuka
2. Matsui Jurina
3. Miyawaki Sakura
4. Shiroma Miru
5. Furuhata Nao
6. Okada Nana
7. Takahashi Juri
8. Ota Yuuri
9. Kodama Haruka
10. Mukaichi Mion
11. Homma Hinata
12. Kojima Mako
13. Komiyama Haruka
14. Tanaka Miku
15. Yabuki Nako
16. Nakai Rika

now, i know that its not the best prediction in the world. i know that there's going to be a lot of question like, Where is member like Yuihan or Seichan or Megu or Sayaya? and why there is so many HKT and NGT member in there? why there is no 16th gen in there?
well, there's a lot of NGT and HKT member in this list because those 2 group has the youngest average age out of the other group and i think HKT and NGT will have quite a lot of their member ranking in the sousenkyo. i think these 2 group will be the strongest force coming in this era.
i don't pick girls like Seichan, Megu, Sayaya, and Yui-yui because i think they just going to missed out of the senbatsu. i think high undergirl is where they would be. and the reason is because they just don't have enough of a push to get them into senbatsu. same reason for the 16th gen, i don't think they will be in the senbatsu in 2020 because they are still new, i mean we haven't even seen them in AKBingo that often. but special reason for Murayama Yuiri, i don't put her here, because i don't know if she will participate or not.
and with Yuihan, well she's getting old now, and i think by 2020 she won't be a soukantoku anymore, and either decided not to participate in the Sousenkyo or just graduate altogether.
so yeah, that's it, this list is a lot longer than i had imagine, i hope i don't bore any of you to death. and i also want to know what would your pick for the 2020 sousenkyo line up. part 2 should come out soon, but until then
