Top 10 AKB48 Group Song of 2017

hello and welcome to another post of the end of year top 10 series. this one is the last one that i'm going to make before i go to the actual end of year recap post. this time i'm going to rank the (as the title suggest) top 10 AKB48 Group song of 2017. now, 2017 hasn't really been a very good year for the AKB group, there's not really a lot of good song to talk about. especially from the sister group side, which somehow got forgotten altogether. i'm actually struggling to pick 10 song because most of them doesn't really stand out. but fortunately, i managed to pick the 10 song that i think is the best song by the AKB48 group from 2017. for this list i'm limiting to just releases by the AKB48 group from Thumbnail to Sekai wa Doko Made Aozora ka? (NGT 2nd single). so, no song from the Janken single, HKT 1st album or NMB 17th single. with that cleared out lets get to the list.

10. Which One (Warota People) (NMB48)
I'm already cheating for the first entry, that's how hard it is to choose for this top 10. but joking aside, i actually quite like Which One, i think its quite good. this is basically the 'pop song' of the year. this song is my first idea when someone say a teen pop song, specifically an American teen pop song. i usually doesn't really like this type of songs, but somehow 'Which One' works for me. and its super catchy.

9. Darashinai Aishikata (#Sukinanda) (SSK Undergirls)
The undergirls song from the SSK single is at #9. this song is very good. it sounded very retro with the jazz piano and with the overall feel to it. the lyrics is also pretty good. unfortunately, the monologue bit in the middle kinda ruins the song, that's why its only at #9. but still a very good song.

8. Midori to Mori no Undokouen (Shoot Sign) (NGT48)
The coupling song from Shoot Sign by NGT48 is at #8. actually, even though Shoot Sign itself is a very crappy song, the coupling song that come with that single is actually pretty good, and this is one of them. its a very good song, very NGT like, its catchy and easy listening. not a lot to say really, i just really like this song.

7. Yosougai no Story (11Gatsu no Anklet) (Vocal Senbatsu)
This song is still floating around in my head, its very good. one of the reason is probably its still relatively new to the other song here, but the other reason is because its just a damn good song. its sounded very nostalgic to me, and that's always a good thing. the vocal in this is probably the best i've heard this year, the harmony is incredible, not as good as the Yuichanzu but still pretty damn impressive.

6. Ano hi No Jibun (Thumbnail) (AKB48)
This, for those of you who don't know, is the main song from AKB48 9th album Thumbnail and also the soundtrack from their latest documentary film. its a very good ballad song, it has a very good mix of acoustic guitar and also piano, the vocal is very good and also very expressive (which is lacking from the AKB group this year), and the lyrics is very nice. its certainly a very good song for a documentary film.

5. Negaigoto no Mochigusare (Negaigoto no Mochigusare) (AKB48)
Yes, this song is at #5. i genuinely really like this song, i like how it sound, i like how it flow, and i like the fact that AKB dare to made this song an A-side in the first place. the waltz style that they use here is actually pretty good, and it works. that's all i have to say about this song.

4. Dare no Koto wo Ichiban Aishiteru? (Shoot Sign) (SakamichiAKB)
This is still an AKB song right? anyway, my first impression when i first hear this song is well, shock. i mean, who doesn't, after hearing that chorus i think everybody has the same reaction. that chorus alone is enough to put this song in #4. the music itself is actually not that bad, but really, this song is all about that lyric, its great and creepy at the same time.

3. Ayamachi (Thumbnail) (Sayanee ft Inagaki Junichi)
I love this duet. it sounded amazing, Sayanee's voice is just incredible. its a very good song, the chorus is great, the flow is nice, the vocal is amazing, and it has a very good bass line, which as you know, i always fall for a good bass line.

2. Tomaranai  Kanransha (Shoot Sign) (HKT48)
This song is so good, i actually made the title of it as my blog name, its that good. the only good song that HKT has this year and its on an AKB single, which, for a HKT oshi like me, is actually quite disappointing. HKT doesn't have the best of year in 2017, but i guess its nice for them to have at least one good song. its a very catchy song with the trumpet and guitar, and the lyrics is very good. and this is also the last time we saw Haruppi before she's gone missing for several months.

1. Coin Toss (Thumbnail) (Okada Nana)
Yes, Okana Nana's first ever solo song is my favorite AKB48 group song of 2017. this song is pretty much perfect for me. it has a very good rockish feel to it, which i like, Naachan's vocal is great, one of the best in the whole 48 group and suits this song perfectly. and of course, the bass line. its a very good song for a great member.

and that's all folks, my top 10 AKB48 group song of 2017, after this i'm going to look at the big stuff, the end of year recap of the 48/46 group, so you should look out for that. but until then
